SENIOR HOUSING

PCHC owns and manages four senior housing complexes in the county: Gleneida Court; Gleneida Senior Apartments; Lakeview Senior Apartments and Senior Housing at Mahopac Hills. There are separate income eligibility guidelines for each complex. 

Please be advised there are long waiting lists for tenancy at all of the complexes. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applicants are placed on the appropriate waiting list according to date and time application is received. When applicant comes to the top of the waiting list you will be notified by mail.

GLENEIDA COURT
Opened June 1993 - Fully occupied 
$1.4 million construction financed through Rural Development

Eligibility: 62-years-old or disabled
A two-story garden apartment complex of 24 units. Each one-bedroom has a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with small dining area.  Community room, laundry facilities are on site as well as a patio and raised garden beds.There are no elevators, but stair glides are available. Tenant pays electric heat and hot water, but receives a utility allowance to offset the costs. Superintendent on site during weekdays. 

Income eligibility:
One Person - $29,050
Two person - $33,200

GLENEIDA SENIOR APARTMENTS
Opened February 1999 - Fully Occupied
$2.4 million construction costs financed by the New York State Housing Trust Fund and Low Income Tax Credits

Eligibility: 60 years or older
Two-story complex with 24 units of affordable housing. Elevator, community room, laundry room, game room, computer room, outdoor patio and raised garden beds. Each unit has a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with a small dining area. Tenant pays electric. Natural gas head and hot water is provided by the landlord.

Income eligibility:
One person - $30,100
Two person - $34,400

LAKEVIEW SENIOR

Opened October 2004 - Fully occupied
$3.4 million construction costs financed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the HUD 202 Housing for the Elderly

Eligibility: 62 years or older
Complex contains 24, one bedroom units. Complex has elevator, community room, television room and card room in addition to outdoor patio and raised garden beds. Superintendent on site. Each apartment contains a bedroom, living room and dining area.

One person - $30,100
Two person - $34,400

SENIOR HOUSING AT MAHOPAC HILLS
Opened 2007 - Fully Occupied
$8.2 million construction costs were financed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the HUD 202 Housing for the Elderly Program and the New York State HOME Program

Eligibility: 62 year or old
Three-story complex of 48, one-bedroom units with kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom. Elevator, outdoor patio, community room, game room, laundry room and sitting room. Within walking distance to William Kohler Senior Nutrition Center.
